JANESVILLE, WIS. -- Snap-N-Strut Ltd. announced completion of the lengthy listing process by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) for its patented one-piece nylon pipe and conduit hangers. The UL stamp of approval means the product has been tested and found to meet the UL requirements for safety and performance in Cable and Hardware category.

The products manufactured by Snap-N-Strut Ltd. are designed to speed up construction by simplifying the hanging of electrical conduit and plumbing pipe from overhead struts. The hangers eliminate the time-consuming nut and bolt design of conventional hangers and use a one-piece snap-on locking design that can be done with one hand.

Snap-N-Strut’s Strut-N-Rod+™ hanger can either be snapped into a channeled strut without extra hardware or tools, or threaded onto a rod. Snap-N-Strut also makes a Handy-Snap™ model for supporting conduits on flat surfaces such as beams, walls, or the flat side of a strut.

The Snap-N-Strut line of hangers are produced from a high-performance nylon resin with exceptionally long-term stress resistance and chemical stability over a wide range of temperatures. They eliminate concern for galvanic corrosion in copper tubing.

Since first being introduced to the plumbing and electrical construction industry in 1995, Snap-N-Strut’s hangers have gained wide acceptance. The UL Listing will serve to increase usage of the products even more.

Underwriters Laboratories completed the required follow-up service visit to Snap-N-Strut’s manufacturing facility in Janesville this fall to audit compliance with product certification requirements. Snap-N-Strut’s hangers will soon be listed on the UL Web site, www.ul.com, in the Online Certifications Directory.
